Jason Matthews

Mr. Jason Matthews is currently employed by the Parkersburg Fire Department. He became a member of the department in November 2013 and currently holds the rank of Lieutenant. He is assigned to Rescue 1, which responds out of the City’s main station. Mr. Matthews became a trustee of the Parkersburg Firemen’s Pension and Relief Fund in 2011. He currently serves as secretary of the board.

In addition, Mr. Matthews currently serves as an advisory board member of the Professional Fire Fighters of West Virginia (PFFWV). He began serving in that capacity in the fall of 2010. He became a member of the executive board of the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) Local 91 in the spring of 2007. He is also a member of the International Association of Arson Investigators (IAAI) and is certified to the level of Fire Officer 4.
